Bursting with Fruit Juice! Fruit Harvest Experience Gaining Popularity

Suwon Special City will operate the 'Apple Harvest Experience Program' at Suwon City Orchard Park in Homaesil-dong, Wonseong District until the 27th of next month.

The experience will be held over a total of 23 sessions with 1,123 participants including children, elementary·middle·and high school students, and disadvantaged groups. Participants will receive basic education on the characteristics and benefits of fruit trees, and experience various activities such as apple harvesting, tasting, and fruit bingo games.

Suwon City Orchard Park is the nation's first urban fruit orchard, a space where citizens can experience the growth process and harvesting of fruit trees in an urban setting. This year, Suwon City operates experience programs aligned with the seasonal growth periods of fruit trees including cherry·plum·Japanese apricot·grape·pear·and apple, in addition to experiences observing fruit tree flowers and branch growth.

A Suwon City official stated, "Citizens will be able to feel the value of agriculture and the joy of harvest by picking and tasting apples" and added, "Going forward, we will continue to operate various experience programs utilizing the orchard park."
