Suwon Selects Winners of Small and Medium Business Owner Awards in Six Categories

Suwon Special Metropolitan City (Mayor Lee Jae-jun) has selected winners of the 12th Suwon Small and Medium Business Owner Awards.

The Suwon Small and Medium Business Owner Awards recognize outstanding small and medium business owners who have contributed to the development of the regional economy through technological development, productivity improvement, and increased exports, and have enhanced external competitiveness and Suwon's status. Kim Chang-gyun, representative of Nuvo Co., Ltd., received the Grand Prize.

Candidates were recruited in June, and 18 business owners applied. Winners were selected through document screening (quantitative evaluation) and evaluation by the judging committee (qualitative evaluation).

Award recipients were selected in the following categories: △Management Innovation: Kim Dong-bae, representative of SCKA Co., Ltd. △Technological Development: Lee Sun-hee, representative of Future Main Co., Ltd. △Export Promotion: Park Ji-su, representative of Eleven Electronics Co., Ltd. △Startup and Venture: Lee Nam-hee, representative of Hyperknology Co., Ltd. △Job Creation: Sung Chang-hwa, representative of System & Solution Co., Ltd. △Labor-Management Harmony: Moon Sang-chul, representative of Hope Nest Cooperative.

The awards will be presented during the '4th Suwon Business Owner Day' event held on October 20 at the Suwon Convention Center. Award recipients will receive a plaque for the 'Suwon Small and Medium Business Owner Award' and a certificate from the Suwon Mayor.

Winning companies will be honored as 'Outstanding Suwon Enterprises' for three years, and bonus points will be given when applying for Suwon's trade policies such as participation in overseas trade fairs. Additionally, special benefits include △preferential interest rate support for Suwon's small and medium enterprise development fund (2%→2.5%) △priority given when receiving support from Suwon's small and medium enterprise support policies △suspension of tax investigation for three years if there is no local tax delinquency as of the selection date.
