Gyeonggi Province announced on the 7th that it is recruiting new residents on a rolling basis for the Gyeonggi Province Dormitory located in Seodun-dong, Gwonseon-gu, Suwon City.

The recruitment is for a total of 37 people, including 29 university students (10 male, 19 female), 7 young adults (2 male, 5 female), and 1 person with disabilities (male). With a total of 96 rooms and a capacity of 278 residents, additional vacancies will be filled sequentially according to the order of admission approval.

Eligible applicants are youth and university students ages 15 to 39 residing in Gyeonggi Province. Those who have maintained resident registration in Gyeonggi Province for at least one year as of the announcement date, or who currently have resident registration in Gyeonggi Province and have cumulative past residency of 10 years or more, may apply.

University students are selected based on the combined income score according to their tuition support bracket and bonus points, while young adults are selected based on the combined income score calculated using national health insurance premiums and review scores for independence plans, targeting applicants with a total score of 60 points or above.

Applications are accepted online through the Gyeonggi Province Dormitory website (ggdorm.or.kr). Upon admission approval, deposit and dormitory fees must be paid within three days. Detailed selection criteria and required documents can be found on the Gyeonggi Province Dormitory website notice board.

Monthly dormitory fees are as follows: △triple room, 2-person area 200,000 won △triple room, 1-person area 220,000 won △single room 250,000 won. Breakfast and dinner are provided at the in-house cafeteria, and additional facilities including laundry rooms, gym, and multipurpose sports facilities are available at no additional cost.

Sohn Kyung-sik, head of the Youth Opportunity Division at Gyeonggi Province, stated, "The Gyeonggi Province Dormitory provides a stable residential environment for young people to reduce economic burden and focus on academics and job preparation," and added, "Rolling recruitment based on vacancies will continue through the regular selection in the first half of next year, so we hope for the strong interest of young people."
