Departing for 'Korea-China High School Student Exchange Program' to Nurture Global Leaders

The Gyeonggi Province Office of Education International Education Institute (Director Kim Young-gwan) is operating an overseas training program for the 'Korea-China High School Student Exchange Program' to nurture next-generation global leaders through youth exchange between Korea and China.

This training program, hosted by the National Institute for International Education under the Ministry of Education and organized by the Gyeonggi Province Office of Education International Education Institute, will be held from the 6th to the 12th in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, China. Four schools in Gyeonggi Province—Wongok High School, Chaungui High School, Namyangju Dasan High School, and Korea Tourism High School—are participating with a total of 100 people including 80 students and faculty members.

Students will visit four schools under the Zhejiang Province Office of Education, participate in joint classes, experience school life, and engage in peer activities, expanding their learning beyond the classroom across borders.

The most distinctive feature of this exchange is customized one-to-one exchanges highlighting each school's educational curriculum characteristics: △Artificial Intelligence Education (Wongok High School - Hangzhou School Group Middle School, Zhejiang Province) △RAS Convergence Education (Chaungui High School - Hangzhou No. 4 Middle School, Zhejiang Province) △IB Education (Namyangju Dasan High School - Hangzhou Foreign Language School) △Vocational Education (Korea Tourism High School - Hangzhou Tourism Vocational School).

Students will also visit West Lake, Leifeng Pagoda, the Provisional Government of the Republic of Korea Memorial Hall and other sites to understand the history and culture of both countries, and plan to visit universities such as Hangzhou University and Hangzhou Future Science City, as well as advanced industry sites including Dahua Technology and Tihua Intelligence Pilot Base.

Policy exchanges between education offices will also be promoted. A delegation from the Gyeonggi Province Office of Education International Education Institute will visit the Zhejiang Province Office of Education and Hangzhou City Office of Education to share educational policies and operational cases of both countries and explore sustainable educational exchange and cooperation measures.
