Osan City (Mayor Jo Yong-ho), the host city for next year's Gyeonggi Province Sports Festival, launched its full-scale promotional campaign by operating a booth for the next host city at the opening ceremony of the 20th Gyeonggi Province Disability Living Sports Festival in Gapyeong.

The promotional booth, operated at the opening ceremony on the 28th, was set up to introduce Osan as the next host city to athletes, event officials, and visitors, and to raise interest and anticipation for the Gyeonggi Province Sports Festival to be held in Osan.

The city created a promotional space utilizing the official emblem and mascot 'Kkasani,' and conducted various promotional activities including distributing schedule information for four events to be held in Osan from 2027 to 2028 and tourism brochures of Osan City.

In addition to promotional activities, Osan City conducted benchmarking on overall event management. The city carefully examined key operational cases at the site, including opening ceremony and reception operations, competition progress by sport, venue conditions, parking and traffic management, and disabled-friendly facilities.

Meanwhile, Osan City is systematically advancing preparations across various sectors, including facility improvements at sports venues and the establishment of competition operation plans by sport, ahead of hosting four events: the 2027 Gyeonggi Province Disability Sports Festival and Gyeonggi Province Sports Festival, and the 2028 Gyeonggi Province Disability Living Sports Festival and Gyeonggi Province Living Sports Grand Festival.

Mayor Jo Yong-ho of Osan City stated, "We will widely promote Osan as the next host city to residents of Gyeonggi Province and continue to raise interest and anticipation for the upcoming events," and added, "We plan to carefully examine best practices from the field and faithfully reflect them in our event preparations so that both athletes and visitors can safely and conveniently enjoy the festivals."
