Uiwang City's 'Ddoq Bus' in Chopyeong Area Earns Top Service Evaluation Rating in Province
Uiwang City (Mayor Kim Sung-je) announced that the Demand-Responsive Transit (DRT) 'Ddoq Bus' (operated by Samyoung Transportation) introduced and operated in the Chopyeong area last year has ranked first overall (Grade A) in the '2026 Gyeonggi Province Ddoq Bus Operator Service Evaluation' conducted across 34 transportation operators in the province.
This evaluation was conducted to improve service quality and strengthen safety of the Demand-Responsive Transit (DRT) 'Ddoq Bus' services operating within Gyeonggi Province.
The evaluation was conducted rigorously across three categories and seven items: △passenger service improvement (70 points) △accident management (30 points) △efforts to improve transportation worker treatment (deduction of 10 points). Uiwang City's 'Ddoq Bus' recorded the highest total score of 99.14 points among evaluated operators, earning the highest Grade A rating and demonstrating the highest standard of public transportation operation capability in the province.
In particular, in the 'passenger service improvement' category, it scored 69.14 points (out of 70), receiving the highest score among Ddoq Buses in the province. In major subcategories including passenger law compliance (10 points), operational management status (5 points), and transportation worker service management (15 points), it achieved perfect scores, earning recognition for user-centered service operations and systematic management standards.
Additionally, in the 'accident management' category, it recorded a perfect score of 30 points without deductions in all subcategories including traffic accident index, transportation worker training achievements, and vehicle management, demonstrating a thorough safety management system.
Mayor Kim Sung-je stated, "This achievement is a precious result of close cooperation between the city and transportation operators to provide citizens with safer and more convenient customized public transportation," and added, "We will continue to expand high-quality public transportation services that Uiwang residents can experience in their daily lives."
Meanwhile, Uiwang City's 'Ddoq Bus' has been operating two vehicles since June of last year on the section connecting Wangsong Lake Park and Uiwang Station, centered on Chopyeong-dong, a transportation blind spot. With users summoning the service through the mobile app 'Ttak-ta' or the call center, the buses operate in real-time based on demand, serving as a reliable transportation option for residents of the Chopyeong-dong area, which previously had inconvenient public transportation access.
