Suwon Metropolitan City (Mayor Lee Jae-jun) is accepting applications for the "2027 Corporate Environment Improvement Project" from small and medium-sized manufacturing companies and knowledge industry centers within the city until September 18.

The corporate environment improvement project supports improvements to labor and work environments and fire safety facilities at small and medium-sized manufacturing companies and knowledge industry centers. There are four recruitment sectors: △labor environment △knowledge industry centers △work environment △fire safety facilities.

The labor environment sector supports small and medium-sized manufacturing companies with annual sales of 200 billion won or less to improve dormitories, cafeterias, bathrooms, shower facilities, and break spaces, with a maximum subsidy of 40 million won.

The knowledge industry center sector provides up to 60 million won in support for improvement costs of aging parking lots, bathrooms, and public facilities at knowledge industry centers that have been in operation for at least seven years since completion.

In the work environment sector, small and medium-sized manufacturing companies with annual sales of 100 billion won or less receive up to 20 million won in support for improvements to workspaces, work tables, storage platforms, ventilation and dust collection devices, and conveyor work tables.

The fire safety facility sector provides up to 70 million won in support for alarm equipment and wireless fire detection installation, replacement of aging electrical wiring, and installation of barriers in hazardous material storage areas.

The subsidy rate varies depending on the business sector and company net profit, and participating companies must bear 20% or more of project costs, value-added tax, and amounts exceeding the support limit. Companies that have received support from the corporate environment improvement project within the past five years (2022-2026) and companies with tax arrears are not eligible to apply.

A Suwon official stated, "For businesses to grow, they must have safe and pleasant labor and work environments," adding "We will support necessary facility improvements at worksites to strengthen corporate competitiveness and growth foundations."
