Yongin Central Market Revitalization Campaign: "Write a Review and Get Discounts"

Yongin Special City (Mayor Lee Sang-il) will run the "Enjoy Full Benefits at Central Market - Write a Review and Get Discounts" event from September 1st, offering discounts and commemorative items to citizens visiting Yongin Central Market and surrounding commercial areas.

This event, part of the third year of the smart city regeneration project "Experience Digital at the Market," was designed to revitalize traditional markets and help citizens easily access market information.

The city plans to promote information about participating stores through Naver Place and utilize visitor reviews left by citizens as valuable foundational data for future digital commercial district activation at Yongin Central Market.

The event will run for two months from September to October. Approximately 80 participating stores at Yongin Central Market are eligible, excluding gambling-related and entertainment businesses.

Citizens can receive a 5,000 won discount coupon by making purchases of 20,000 won or more at participating stores and writing a visit review on Naver Place.

Additionally, to encourage visits from younger generations and families, the city will operate "Pick and Go" content featuring curated market visit courses such as "Hidden Gem Food Blogger," "Retro Foodie," and "Trendy Spot Explorer," allowing visitors to enjoy popular spots at Yongin Central Market according to their preferences.

In October, a "Collect Goods" stamp tour will be held where visitors can explore multiple stores together. By participating in events at five or more stores and collecting stickers, visitors can receive market merchandise such as film keychains featuring Yongin Central Market landscapes, retro glass cups, and retro shopping baskets.

A city official stated, "Through various attractions such as discount coupons and discovering hidden hot spots, we hope this becomes an opportunity for citizens to visit traditional markets more frequently," and added, "For merchants, this will be an opportunity to enhance their digital store promotion capabilities, and vivid customer reviews will contribute to the continuous development of Central Market."
