Suwon Offers 'Daily Package' Support for Middle-Aged Single-Person Households Moving to the City
Suwon Special City (Mayor Lee Jae-joon) is recruiting approximately 320 households for the 'Suwon Single-Person Household Daily Package Support Project' until 6 p.m. on September 14th.
The support targets middle-aged single-person households aged 40 to 64 years old who relocated to Suwon from other regions after January 1, 2026.
Target neighborhoods include △Yeonghwa-dong △Yeonmu-dong △Gwonseon 1-dong △Seryum 2-dong △Haenggung-dong △Maesan-dong △Youngtong 2-dong △Woncheon-dong and other 8 districts. Suwon City will select 2 districts per district with high proportions of single-person households to conduct pilot projects.
Selected households will receive a 'Daily Package' worth 60,000 won. The package consists of 4 items for residential safety and convenience: △portable fire extinguisher △window lock device △storage organizer △overload protection power strip.
This is a project to support newly settled middle-aged single-person households in Suwon to live safely and conveniently. Along with the package, guidance materials introducing Suwon City's single-person household support projects will also be provided.
Applications must be submitted by the individual through Suwon City's civic participation platform 'Saebbit Talk Talk,' and proxy applications are not permitted. Applicants must submit an application form, personal information collection and use consent form, and resident registration certificate and abstract.
Suwon City will verify eligibility requirements in the order of applications received and select recipients until the budget is exhausted. Selection results will be notified by individual text message, and the daily packages will be shipped by courier during September to October.
A Suwon City official stated, "We prepared this package to enable middle-aged single-person households settling alone in unfamiliar areas to live safely and conveniently," and added, "We will continue to develop settlement support measures that residents can feel in the future."
