New Face Jo Jeong-a, Director of Gyeonggi International Airport Promotion Task Force

[News S=Reporter Eom In-yong] Gyeonggi Province announced on the 3rd that it has appointed Jo Jeong-a, Vice Mayor of Yeoju City, as Director of the Gyeonggi International Airport Promotion Task Force.

Director Jo is evaluated as having been appointed in this regular personnel reshuffle of Gyeonggi Province as a professional with expertise to stably advance major policy tasks in the future, having built a career through diverse positions.

She served in key positions including Director of the Gyeonggi Women's Competency Development Center, International Cooperation Officer, Senior Policy Advisor to the Minister of Gender Equality and Family, Vice Mayor of Guri City, and Vice Mayor of Yeoju City, performing her role as an expert in women's policy and diplomatic affairs. She has earned a reputation as a fair and rational individual through meticulous and approachable leadership and genuine communication among staff members.

In particular, she has implemented various projects for the social re-entry of women with interrupted careers and received the 2011 UN Public Administration Award, as well as numerous other honors including the 2012 International E-Learning Consortium Award and the 2016 U.S. Career Development Association Service Award as Asia's first recipient.
